The Hubbell WP1 is a weatherproof outlet-box cover designed for vertical mounting on FS or FD boxes. Its self-closing lid and neoprene gasket seal the opening when not in use, protecting 15 A locking or 15 A/20 A straight-blade flanged inlets and outlets in damp or wet locations. The reinforced thermoplastic polyester body carries CM and UL listings and ships with mounting screws included.

Check box type, device rating and orientation

Before ordering, confirm the existing box is an FS or FD weatherproof type and that the mounted device matches the 15 A locking or 15 A/20 A straight-blade, 3-wire flanged configuration. The cover only fits a single-gang vertical opening, so horizontal or multi-gang boxes will not accept it. Verify local code requirements for the CM and UL standards cited on the product.

Sustained exposure performance

Under continuous outdoor exposure the neoprene gasket maintains its seal and the self-closing lid returns to the shut position after each use.
