The RACO 847 is a flat, blank cover designed for square electrical boxes with five gang openings. It is intended for electricians and installers who need to close off unused multi-gang enclosures in residential or commercial wiring projects. Galvanized Steel Construction

The cover mounts directly onto a standard square box using the existing device screws, requiring no additional hardware or specialized tools for installation. Its flat profile sits flush against the box surface, preserving wall depth for tight spaces or surface-mounted raceway transitions. The steel material resists physical damage during rough-in and finish phases better than non-metallic alternatives. The gray finish matches common conduit and box colors for a uniform appearance.

Five-Gang Capacity

This cover blanks off a five-gang square box in a single piece, eliminating the need for multiple smaller covers and reducing installation time. It provides a solid barrier with no device cutouts, suitable for junction points where no switches or receptacles are required. The 1/8 inch depth adds minimal projection from the mounting surface. It does not accommodate devices, gaskets, or raised fittings, so it is not suited for weatherproof or device-mounting applications.
