Watertight L6-15P locking plug

The Hubbell HBL24W49 is a 15 A 250 V AC single-phase plug rated IP69K for moisture dust and weather resistance. It suits industrial equipment generators and outdoor power distribution where a secure locking connection is required. The smooth thermoplastic elastomer body reduces collection points for contaminants. It accepts cable diameters from .375 in to .625 in and wire sizes from 16/3 SJ to 10/3 SJ or 18/3 S to 12/3 S.

Thermoplastic elastomer housing

The body and housing are moulded from UV-stabilised thermoplastic elastomer rated for continuous operation from -40 °C to +60 °C. Nickel-plated brass blades and contacts resist corrosion and maintain conductivity in wet or dusty environments. The polarised locking design prevents accidental disengagement under vibration or cable strain. Dielectric strength reaches 2500 V AC and temperature rise is limited to 30 °C at rated current per UL498.

Replaces non-locking or lower-IP plugs in harsh

This plug upgrades installations that currently use standard straight-blade or non-watertight locking plugs exposed to wash-down high-pressure water or abrasive dust. The IP69K rating and ANSI NEMA WD-1 WD-6 compliance make the jump worthwhile when equipment must stay powered during sanitation cycles or outdoor operation. It is not for applications requiring a different NEMA configuration or amperage rating.
