The HPE Networking Instant On 6300M module provides 24 Smart Rate ports that operate at 100M, 1, 2.5 or 5 GbE with Class 6 PoE up to 60 W per port. Four SFP56 ports add 1, 10 or 25 GbE uplinks for aggregation. A USB-C console port, an OOBM port, a USB Type A host port and a Bluetooth dongle for the CX Mobile App complete the management interfaces.

Suitable for high-density multi-gigabit access

This switch fits environments that need many powered devices such as wireless access points, cameras or IoT endpoints on a single cable. It is not for buyers who require only 1 GbE connectivity without PoE, nor for installations that need more than 24 powered ports or uplink speeds beyond 25 GbE.

24 ports at 2.5 or 5 GbE with 60 W PoE

The decisive specification is the combination of 24 Smart Rate ports supporting 2.5 GbE and 5 GbE speeds alongside IEEE 802.3bt Class 6 power delivery up to 60 W per port. If the deployment demands multi-gigabit bandwidth to each powered device, this module meets that requirement; otherwise a simpler 1 GbE switch may suffice.
