The HPE Juniper Networking MX10-T-AC chassis targets network operators who need a rack-mountable platform with timing support for synchronised node operation. It ships with dual power supplies and a MIC-3D-20GE-SFP card installed, leaving one modular interface card slot free for future expansion. Junos OS and the included S-MX80-ADV-R, S-MX80-Q and S-ACCT-JFLOW-IN-5G licences enable advanced routing, quality-of-service and flow-accounting features from day one. Power-supply cables must be sourced separately.

Build quality and daily connectivity

A 40 Gbps switching fabric underpins the chassis, providing headroom for traffic growth across four XFP expansion slots and two modular interface card slots. The rack-mount form factor fits standard data-centre cabinets while preserving full modular flexibility for optics or copper cabling choices. Dual power supplies deliver redundancy without sacrificing the compact footprint, and the pre-installed 20-port Gigabit SFP MIC handles immediate access-layer connectivity.

Deciding specification

The chassis delivers 40 Gbps total switching capacity, which determines whether it can sustain the aggregate throughput your trunk nodes require. Buyers who need higher fabric bandwidth or more than four XFP and two MIC slots should evaluate larger platforms. The included timing-support feature set is fixed by the MX10-T-AC model and cannot be added later through software licences alone.
