The HP 8G0G6AA is a desktop receipt printer that uses thermal line technology to produce black-and-white output at up to 180 dpi. It prints at a maximum speed of 500 mm/sec and includes an automatic cutter. The unit operates on 24 V DC power, drawing 28.6 W during printing and 1.4 W in standby.

USB, Ethernet and Serial interfaces are built in, letting the printer connect to a wide range of POS terminals, PCs or networked order systems. It supports 80 mm and 58 mm thermal roll paper with column choices of 42, 48 or 56 columns at 80 mm and 30, 36 or 40 columns at 58 mm. Roll width and column layout define fit

The single specification that decides compatibility is the paper roll width: the printer accepts 80 mm rolls (79.5 ± 0.5 mm) with an 83 mm maximum diameter or 58 mm rolls (57.5 ± 0.5 mm) with the same diameter limit. If your workflow requires a different roll width, a larger roll diameter or label printing, this model will not meet that need.
