HOFFMAN A8R86NK 8×8×6 Enclosure

This wall-mount enclosure is built from carbon steel with a galvanised gray finish. It measures 8.0 inches high, 8.0 inches wide and 6.0 inches deep. The screw-on solid cover secures with screw latches and the unit carries a NEMA Type 3R and IP32 rating. Mounting holes and screws are included for direct wall installation.

Indoor and sheltered outdoor wiring projects

It suits installers protecting junction boxes, terminal blocks or small control gear in locations exposed to rain, sleet or dripping water. The single-compartment design and solid cover limit its use where internal sub-panels, transparent viewing windows or multiple cable entry knockouts are required. Builders needing larger enclosures or active cooling should consider other options.

NEMA 3R and IP32 rating

The enclosure meets NEMA/EEMAC Type 3R and IEC 60529 IP32, meaning it provides protection against falling dirt, rain, sleet and external ice formation. This rating is the decisive factor when specifying an enclosure for wet or damp outdoor walls. If the installation demands a higher ingress rating such as NEMA 4 or 4X, this model will not comply.
