Compact NEMA 4/12 Enclosure

The HOFFMAN A808CHFL is a carbon-steel wall-mount enclosure rated NEMA 4 and NEMA 12 with an IP66 rating. It suits indoor or outdoor installations that need protection against dust, water spray and non-corrosive liquids. The grey RAL 7035 textured polyester powder finish resists corrosion in industrial environments. Builders who need a larger internal volume or a different mounting style will need another solution.

Hinged Cover with Quarter-Turn Latch

A solid hinged cover secures with a 1/4-turn latch that includes a screwdriver slot for tool operation. External wall-mounting brackets are integrated so the box fastens directly to flat surfaces without extra hardware. A neoprene gasket seals the enclosure perimeter to maintain the rated ingress protection. The interior accepts a 32FR96 panel for component mounting; users requiring a different panel size must source it separately.

The enclosure meets CSA, cUL, IEC and UL Listed standards for safety and performance. Fourteen- and sixteen-gauge steel construction provides mechanical strength while the powder coating adds chemical resistance. No active cooling or power components are included, so thermal management depends on the installed equipment and ambient conditions. Installers needing fan cut-outs or pre-drilled conduit entries will have to modify the box themselves.
