The Hitachi DT00665 is a complete lamp-and-housing assembly rated at 150 W and 2,000 hours of rated life. It ships fully assembled so the projector can be back in service without separate bulb handling. The unit is manufactured to ISO 9001 quality standards and uses a genuine Philips UHB bulb.

Restores original brightness after dimming

When the existing lamp reaches the end of its rated hours the image loses intensity and colour accuracy. Swapping in this module returns the projector to its factory light output and avoids the colour shift that appears when a bulb is run past its specified life. The upgrade is worthwhile once the on-screen timer approaches the 2,000-hour mark or a replacement warning appears.

Tool-free swap in most Hitachi models

The housing slides into the lamp compartment and locks with the projector’s built-in latch, so no screwdriver is required for the majority of compatible units. The most common issue is forgetting to reset the lamp-hour counter in the on-screen menu, which leaves the replacement warning active. Dust on the new lens surface can also cause hot-spots, so a quick blast of compressed air before closing the door prevents that problem.
