Wii to HDMI converter for Wii and Wii U

This 1.5-metre cable adapter connects Wii and Wii U consoles directly to any HDMI-equipped display. It converts native 480i, 480p and PAL 576i signals to HDMI without scaling or upscaling. The single male-to-male cable carries both video and audio, so no separate leads are required. It is not compatible with the Wii mini console.

Check display compatibility before ordering

The adapter will not work with Sony, BlackMagic or Philips televisions according to the manufacturer. Your display must accept 480i, 480p or 576i over HDMI; some modern sets reject these legacy timings. No external power supply is needed, so a free USB port or mains socket is unnecessary. Ensure the console’s AV multi-out port is undamaged before connecting.

Behaviour during extended play sessions

A built-in blue LED shows power status continuously while the console runs. Because the device draws power from the Wii’s AV port, it adds no extra heat source near the display. Signal bypass keeps latency unchanged from the original analogue output, so timing-sensitive games feel the same after hours of use.
