Pool check valve for vertical inline flow

The Hayward TC10125ST is a true-union inline check valve built for vertical mounting in pool and spa plumbing. Its PVC body and Viton seals handle water up to 140 Degrees F and pressure up to 235 psi at 70 Degrees F. The 1-1/4 inch FNPT by socket connection fits standard Schedule 40 piping. A low 3 psi cracking pressure lets the valve open with minimal pump head.

Sustained pressure and temperature performance

Under continuous operation the valve maintains a full-flow path rated at 30 gpm without restriction. The Viton seat and seals resist chemical degradation from chlorinated or brominated water across the 40 to 140 Degrees F range. Because the design is inline true union, the valve body can be removed for inspection or cleaning without cutting pipe, preserving seal integrity over repeated service cycles.

Replaces swing or spring check valves in vertical

This unit upgrades older swing-check or horizontal-spring models that hammer or leak when installed vertically. The guided poppet and low cracking pressure eliminate chatter and reduce wear on pump seals. The jump is worth it when an existing vertical check valve fails to hold prime or allows backflow during pump shutdown. It is not suited for steam service or for horizontal mounting orientations.
