Heavy-duty foam tape

This white double-sided foam tape measures 10 mm wide by 3 metres long and 1.1 mm thick. It is designed for indoor and outdoor bonding on smooth, clean surfaces such as painted walls, tile, glass, metal, plastic and wood. The acrylic foam core provides a removable hold that leaves no damage when peeled off with gentle heat. Makers and hobbyists can use it for picture hanging, LED strip mounting, logo bonding and light craft assembly.

Replaces mechanical fasteners

The tape removes the need for rivets, screws, welding or liquid adhesives in many light-duty joints. Bond strength reaches roughly 50 % after 20 minutes, 90 % after 24 hours and full strength after 72 hours at room temperature. The jump from temporary hook-and-loop or tissue tapes is worth it when a permanent, vibration-resistant bond is required on flat, rigid substrates. It is not suited for highly textured, dusty or oily surfaces where adhesion cannot develop.

Load capacity and limits

The adhesive delivers 17 lb per square inch peel strength and withstands temperatures up to 93 °C. It comfortably holds lightweight frames, signage, decorative trim and low-profile LED runs on approved surfaces. The 3-metre roll covers multiple small projects but will run out on large-area panel bonding or heavy structural loads that exceed the rated peel value. For irregular gaps greater than the foam thickness, a thicker tape grade would be needed.
