This Haida Red-Diamond ND filter reduces light by 12 stops, enabling long exposures and shallow depth of field in bright conditions. It measures 100x100mm and fits Haida 100 Series, Haida 100-PRO Series, and similar holders from Lee, Cokin, and Hitech. The filter uses high-quality optical glass with a Nanopro multi-coating to prevent colour cast and resist scratches, water, oil, and fingerprints.

Light reduction capacity and practical limits

The 3.6 density rating (4000x factor) provides substantial light blocking for extended shutter speeds during daylight. It comfortably handles bright landscape scenes where motion blur in water or clouds is desired. The filter reaches its limit in extremely low light where a 12-stop reduction would require impractically long exposures, or when stacking with other dense filters risks vignetting on wide-angle lenses.
