GREENCYCLE TN221K Black High Yield Toner

The GREENCYCLE TN221K is a new compatible monochrome laser toner cartridge rated for approximately 2500 pages at .05 coverage. It replaces the Brother TN221K model and fits HL and MFC colour laser printers including the 3140, 3142, 3150, 3152, 3170, 3172, 3180, 9130, 9140, 9330, 9340 and DCP 9020 series. Home offices and small businesses that print mainly black text on Brother colour hardware can use this single black cartridge to keep running costs down.

Check your printer model before ordering

Verify that your Brother printer appears in the compatible list: HL-3140CW, HL-3150CW, HL-3170CDW, HL-3142CW, HL-3152CDW, HL-3172CDW, HL-3180CDW, MFC-9140CDN, MFC-9130CW, MFC-9330CDW, MFC-9340CDW or DCP-9020CDN. The cartridge is black only, so colour documents will still need the cyan, magenta and yellow cartridges installed. Ensure the drum unit is present and in working order because the toner inserts into that unit rather than directly into the printer.

Installation uses the existing drum unit

Shake the new cartridge gently six to eight times, remove the orange protective cover and slide the toner into the drum unit until it clicks. Then insert the combined assembly into the printer slot until it locks in place. No separate drum purchase is required, freeing budget for the colour toners you still need. The high yield rating reduces replacement frequency for heavy black-and-white workloads.
