This GREENCYCLE kit supplies two CF230A black toner cartridges and one CF232A drum unit built for HP LaserJet Pro MFP M227 and M203 series printers. The components are matched so the toner installs directly into the drum without separate alignment steps. Offices and home users who print mainly text documents receive a complete consumable set in one purchase. Buyers who need colour output or MICR encoding cannot use this monochrome kit.

Laser electrophotographic process

The cartridges operate inside a laser electrophotographic engine that fuses toner at high temperature onto letter-size paper. Rated yield is measured at five percent coverage, so pages heavy with graphics or solid fills will consume toner faster than the stated figure. The drum unit is rated for a much longer life than a single toner cartridge, meaning the drum stays in the printer through multiple toner changes. Environments with very high humidity or dust may reduce actual page counts below the laboratory rating.

Capacity and replacement rhythm

Each CF230A cartridge yields approximately one thousand six hundred pages at five percent coverage, while the CF232A drum is rated for twenty-three thousand pages. In practice the drum will outlast several toner cartridges, so the kit covers the first drum cycle plus a spare toner. Once the drum reaches its rated limit, print quality can degrade and a new drum unit is required. Users printing well above five percent coverage will replace toner more often than the yield suggests.
