The Grandstream GXP1620 is a corded VoIP handset built for small offices that need reliable voice service over an IP network. It supports two SIP accounts with up to two call appearances each, giving receptionists or desk workers the ability to manage separate lines on one device. The 132x48 pixel backlit graphical LCD keeps caller information readable in varied lighting.

Step up from single-line desk phones

Moving from a basic analogue or single-account IP set adds a second SIP identity and a 200-record call log without replacing the cabling plant. The three XML programmable soft keys let you surface frequently used features such as park, transfer or directory lookup, so the upgrade pays off when staff handle more than a handful of daily calls. It is not for teams that require colour displays, gigabit uplinks or expansion modules for busy attendants.

10/100 Ethernet with PoE limits

Dual 10/100 ports pass LAN traffic through the phone, yet the 100 Mbps ceiling can become a bottleneck when the same drop feeds a workstation that moves large files. Power over Ethernet is integrated, so a separate adapter is unnecessary, but the switch port must supply PoE or the handset will need a local power brick. The 500-contact phonebook and three-way conference cover typical small-office needs, while SRTP and TLS secure the voice stream.
