The Grandstream GWN7605 is an 802.11ac Wave-2 access point built for networks with medium user density. It delivers 1.27Gbps aggregate wireless throughput through dual-band 2x2:2 MU-MIMO with beamforming. Two Gigabit wireline ports handle the wired backbone while the radio supports 100+ concurrent client devices across a 165-meter coverage range.

Power and thermal profile

The unit draws power through auto-detecting PoE or PoE+ adapters, adjusting consumption to the available class without manual configuration. This self-adaptation keeps heat output aligned with the negotiated power budget, so the enclosure runs quietly in typical ceiling or wall mounts. No external power brick is required when the switch infrastructure supplies the correct standard.

Management ecosystem

An embedded controller manages up to 50 local GWN series APs directly from the device interface. GWN.Cloud adds unlimited cloud-based provisioning, monitoring and firmware updates without on-premise hardware. GWN Manager provides a premise-based software controller for organisations that keep management traffic inside their own network. Secure boot with digital signatures and unique per-device certificates lock down the control plane against tampering.
