The Glow Edge wind-proof fabric is a 12x12' reflective screen designed for the Glow portable butterfly light modifier frame. It uses a knitted metalized polymer mesh to bounce light while allowing air to pass through. This accessory is built for photographers and videographers who need stable illumination in breezy outdoor environments such as beaches, patios or balconies.

Practical limits of the mesh design

The open mesh structure trades total light blockage for wind permeability, so it reduces but does not eliminate the sail effect in strong gusts. Its silver reflective surface redirects and softens light rather than diffusing it like a translucent silk, producing a harder quality that may not suit every subject. The fabric is cut specifically for the 12x12' butterfly frame and will not fit smaller or larger frames.

Capacity and headroom

The screen covers a full 12x12' area, providing a large reflective surface for group portraits or wide scene illumination. Forty integrated bungee loops distribute tension evenly across the frame, giving secure attachment points that resist tearing during repeated setup and teardown cycles. In very high winds the mesh still transmits enough force to move a lightweight frame, so additional sandbagging or guy lines become necessary beyond what the fabric alone can handle.
