GIGABYTE GC-TITAN RIDGE rev. 1.0 Thunderbolt 3 expansion card

What it is

The GIGABYTE GC-TITAN RIDGE rev. 1.0 is an Intel Thunderbolt 3 certified PCIe expansion card built around the DSL7540 controller. It adds two USB Type-C ports that deliver up to 40 Gb/s bandwidth and support DisplayPort 1.4 for 8K video at 60 FPS. The card targets owners of compatible GIGABYTE motherboards who need high-speed external storage, docks or displays without replacing their platform.

Installation notes

The card fits a standard PCIe slot and connects to a Thunderbolt header on Z390, H370 or B360-series GIGABYTE boards. You must enable the header in the UEFI and install the Intel driver package before the ports become active. A common issue is forgetting the header cable or leaving the header disabled, which leaves the card invisible to the operating system.
