The Fusion MS-CBUSB3.5 is a panel-mount auxiliary connector that brings a USB port and a 3.5 mm headphone socket to the helm or fly-bridge of a boat. It includes a two metre (6.5 foot) extension cable and a rubber seal cap that protects the connectors from the marine environment when not in use. The unit accepts Apple, Android, Windows or USB flash devices on the USB side and any standard media player on the 3.5 mm auxiliary socket. It is designed for installations where a full stereo or dock is not practical.

Continuous use on exposed helm stations

The connector is built for permanent mounting in salt-spray and UV exposure, with the rubber cap sealing the ports whenever a device is not plugged in. The two metre cable routes power and signal to a compatible Fusion marine entertainment system without requiring a separate dock. No active electronics are inside the panel, so there is no thermal load or duty-cycle limitation beyond the cable and jack ratings themselves. The assembly simply passes through the audio and data signals from the connected source to the host stereo.

Simple cut-out install with seal-cap discipline

Installation consists of drilling a panel cut-out, securing the flange and routing the 6.5 foot cable to the rear of the stereo. The main failure mode is forgetting to replace the rubber seal cap after unplugging a device, which lets moisture and salt into the USB and 3.5 mm contacts. The panel fits Fusion systems such as the MS-BB300, MS-RA205, MS-AV650, MS-AV750, MS-UD650, MS-UD750, MS-BB100, MS-RA70 and MS-RA70N, but buyers should verify the connected stereo's supported device list before attaching a smartphone or media player.
