Compatible lenses

The Fujifilm XF2X TC WR teleconverter is designed exclusively for the Fujinon XF50-140mmF2.8 R LM OIS WR and the Fujinon XF100-400mmF4.5-5.6 R LM OIS WR lenses. It mounts between the camera body and either lens to double the effective focal length. This accessory serves photographers who need extended telephoto reach with their existing compatible Fujinon glass. It is not for owners of other X-Mount lenses or different camera systems.

Sustained optical performance

The converter uses a 9-element, 5-group optical construction to maintain the original lens sharpness and colour fidelity at distance. It preserves autofocus speed during extended shooting sessions and the camera records aperture and focal length data automatically. Weather-resistant seals allow operation in conditions as low as 14 degrees Fahrenheit and protect against dust and moisture during prolonged outdoor use. It does not suit users who require faster maximum apertures for low-light work.

Focal-length limits

With the 50-140mm lens attached, the combination covers a 100-280mm range at a maximum aperture two stops slower than f/2.8. With the 100-400mm lens, the range becomes 200-800mm at two stops slower than f/4.5-5.6. The physical unit measures 2.28 inches in diameter by 1.19 inches long and weighs 0.38 lb. It cannot be used with lenses outside the two specified models or to achieve focal lengths beyond the stated 800mm equivalent.
