The Fujifilm Instax Wide 400 produces 2.4 by 3.9 inch images on 3.4 by 4.3 inch film, the largest format in the Instax range. A retractable 95mm f/14 lens and two-range focus zone keep subjects sharp. Automatic exposure and flash control remove the need for manual settings, making the green camera suited to parties, weddings and travel where speed matters more than fine adjustment.

Bundled film pack and close-up adapter extend

Forty sheets of wide instant film are included, so the camera works straight from the box without a separate purchase. A close-up lens adapter enables detailed near-field shots that the standard focus zones cannot capture. An angle-adjustment accessory helps frame the scene when the camera rests on a flat surface, removing the need for a tripod during group portraits.

Simple battery operation with a few handling quirks

Four AA batteries power the camera, and an automatic power-down after five minutes of inactivity conserves charge. The self-timer lever clicks in two-second steps up to ten seconds, with an LED countdown visible to the group. The 0.37x optical viewfinder shows a target spot for composition, though parallax can shift framing at close range. The close-up adapter must be removed before normal-distance shooting, otherwise images stay blurred.
