Distributed site security

The FortiGate-30G appliance combines next-generation firewall, SD-WAN and unified threat protection in a single unit built for distributed enterprise locations. It runs FortiOS and uses a patented SD-WAN ASIC to merge networking and security functions with lower power draw than traditional CPU designs. The bundle adds three years of FortiCare Premium support and FortiGuard UTP subscriptions.

Three-year service bundle

The included FortiCare Premium contract provides direct access to firmware updates and technical assistance for 36 months. FortiGuard Unified Threat Protection activates intrusion prevention, anti-malware, web filtering, application control and anti-spam signatures that update automatically during the same period. Together they keep the appliance current without separate licence purchases.

Pre-deployment checks

Verify that your rack or desktop space can accommodate the physical appliance and that power outlets match its input requirements. Confirm the WAN and LAN port counts suit the site’s uplink and local network design. Ensure an existing Fortinet Security Fabric deployment or a fresh FortiOS configuration plan is ready so the unit can be adopted and managed immediately after installation.
