The unit stores up to 20 readings for quick recall and switches between Celsius and Fahrenheit.

Infrared measurement constraints

Infrared sensors read surface temperature, so accuracy depends on correct positioning and a stable ambient environment. Forehead readings can be affected by sweat, drafts or recent activity, while ear measurements require proper alignment with the ear canal. Object mode is limited to surface checks and cannot replace probe thermometers for internal food safety. The device automatically powers off to conserve the included batteries.

Twenty‑reading memory capacity

The thermometer retains the last 20 measurements, letting users track a fever trend without writing values down. Once the log is full, older entries are overwritten, so longer histories need manual recording. This capacity suits short‑term monitoring of a single illness episode but is not designed for extended clinical logs.
