The FoodSaver VS500 VOYOR is a handheld vacuum sealer designed for home cooks who want to extend the shelf life of meat, seafood, vegetables, fruit and nuts. It uses an upgraded motor to reach 65kPa suction and a 5L/min vacuum speed. The unit weighs 220g and measures 3.5 by 3.5 by 17.3 centimetres, so it stores easily in a drawer. Five reusable 17 by 25 centimetre bags with upgraded valves are included.

Quiet Rechargeable Operation

The sealer runs on an internal battery at 5 volts and 5 watts, removing the need for a mains lead during use. A single button starts the cycle and the device stops automatically when the bag is sealed. Studies indicate vacuum storage can extend food life by about 1.5 times compared with conventional methods. The low power draw keeps noise minimal while the motor delivers strong suction for its size.

Simple Countertop Workflow

The ABS plastic body is small enough to leave on a worktop without crowding other appliances. No external pump or hose is required, freeing up space and reducing setup time. The bags are made from a double-layer thickened material that resists tearing and valve leaks. It suits households that seal portions regularly but is not suited to high-volume batch processing or large-cut meats that exceed the bag dimensions.
