Extends DMM range to 400A AC/DC

This kit replaces the need for a dedicated clamp meter by enabling a standard DMM to measure current from 1A up to 400A AC/DC via banana plug connection. The jump is worth it when tasks require measuring higher currents than a multimeter's internal fused range allows, or when non-invasive measurement on live conductors is necessary for safety and convenience without breaking the circuit.

Simple banana plug connection

Installation is straightforward: connect the clamp's banana plugs to the DMM's input jacks, select the appropriate AC or DC current function on the meter, and clamp the jaws around a single conductor. What usually goes wrong is clamping around multiple conductors simultaneously, which cancels the magnetic field and yields a zero reading, or exceeding the 400A maximum rating which risks damage to the clamp and meter.
