DOT-C2 Conspicuity Tape for Heavy Trailers

This microprismatic reflective tape meets FMCSA and FMVSS regulations for trailers over 10000 lbs and wider than 80 inches. The 2-inch wide roll carries the required DOT-C2 marking and alternates 11-inch red segments with 7-inch white segments in a honeycomb pattern. It is supplied new in a 50-yard length on a 3-inch core.

Sustained Retroreflective Performance Over Ten Years

The sealed microprismatic construction is rated for retroreflective performance up to 10 years in service. The design returns up to 80 percent of incident light in a cone, delivering visibility from more than three times the distance of glass-bead alternatives. This sustained output supports long-range detection by other road users throughout the rated lifespan.

All-Weather Application and Durability

Minimum application temperature is 60F, and the sealed surface resists environmental exposure during normal highway use. The smooth microprism finish maintains consistent light return without the degradation typical of unsealed films. True-white segments blend with white bodywork while preserving the high-contrast red/white pattern required for compliance.
