USB 3.0 card reader for SD and NM cards

This Fervit reader connects to a USB Type-A port on a computer, laptop or phone and accepts SD, SDHC, SDXC and MMC cards up to 2 TB as well as Nano Memory cards used in Mate-series phones. It operates in UHS-I mode so cards run at their rated UHS-I speeds. The device is new and draws power from the host port.

Single-slot operation and 5 Gbps interface limit

Only one card — either the NM or the SD — can be active at a time, so simultaneous transfer between the two formats is not possible. The USB 3.0 connection tops out at a 5 Gbps signalling rate, which caps real-world throughput below the theoretical maximum of the fastest UHS-I cards. Hosts with only USB 2.0 ports will fall back to slower speeds.

Compact slot design for portable storage expansion

A single integrated slot handles both card formats, keeping the reader small enough to carry alongside a phone or notebook. The NM card support targets Mate-series handsets that use the proprietary Nano Memory format instead of microSD. No cable or external power is required, so the reader plugs in directly and leaves the adjacent port free.
