What this cable does

The Fervit down-angled DisplayPort cable carries video at up to 4K 60 Hz using a 32.4 Gbps link. The 90 degree connector points downward so it fits behind monitors or graphics cards where a straight plug would hit a wall or desk. Gold-plated contacts and a welded strain relief reduce the chance of signal loss from accidental tugs. The two-metre length suits typical desktop-to-monitor runs.

What the build adds

A silver aluminium alloy shell and a woven braid sleeve protect the conductors from kinks and abrasion during routing. The tangle-free jacket makes the cable easier to coil and store when not in use. Backward compatibility with DisplayPort 1.2 and 1.3 means the same cable works with older graphics cards and monitors without adapter hassles. No extra software or drivers are required for any supported device.

Limits of the DisplayPort link

The cable is rated for 4K at 60 Hz, so higher refresh rates at that resolution or 8K signals are not supported. Ethernet-over-DisplayPort traffic shares the same 32.4 Gbps bandwidth, so heavy network loads could reduce available video headroom. Only devices with a full-size DisplayPort socket can connect; Mini DisplayPort or USB-C alt-mode ports need a separate adapter. The fixed 90 degree angle may not suit every port orientation.
