The EyezOff EZ-SP8 is a foldable solar panel pack rated at 14W total capacity across four panels. It delivers a USB output of 5V/2.2A to charge phones, tablets, cameras and satellite navigation units directly from sunlight. The black nylon construction includes loops for vertical or horizontal hanging to optimise the angle toward the sun. It collapses into a compact bundle that fits easily in a backpack or pannier.

Replaces wall chargers and power banks off-grid

This panel removes the need for mains sockets or pre-charged battery packs during extended trips. The 14W array provides enough current for most handheld electronics, so the upgrade from a single small panel or a limited-capacity power bank is worthwhile when daily recharge cycles exceed what a portable battery can store. It is not suited for laptops or high-draw devices that require more than the 5V/2.2A USB output.

Integrates with USB cables and supplied tips

The unit provides a standard USB port so users can plug in their own cables for any device that charges at 5V. Two fixed tips are included in the pack: one micro USB tip for common smartphones and tablets, and one Apple 30-pin tip compatible with iPhones up to the iPhone 4 and many iPads. No internal battery is present, so power is only available while the panels receive adequate sunlight.
