The Explus-C 4KIP100-KVM extends HDMI and USB signals over a single Cat5e/6/6a/7 cable up to 120 metres. It delivers 4K at 30 Hz or 1080p at 120 Hz with 7.1-channel audio. A transmitter provides one USB host port while the receiver supplies three USB 2.0 device ports running at up to 480 Mbps. The system suits users who need remote keyboard, mouse or gamepad control of a PC or console.

Sustained zero-latency operation

The extender maintains constant 800 M bandwidth across the link when a Gigabit switch is used. Video and USB streams stay stable at the rated distances without frame drops or input lag. Power must be cycled on both units whenever the four-pin DIP switch is changed to pair a different transmitter-receiver set. Each transmitter pairs with only one receiver at a time.

Cat5e/6/6a/7 reach and switch requirement

The single-cable link reaches 120 metres (390 ft) for video and 100 metres for USB streaming. A Gigabit switch is mandatory to guarantee the required bandwidth; a hundred-megabit switch cannot sustain the signal. Four-pin DIP switches allow up to 16 independent sets to coexist on the same network infrastructure.
