Genuine US-layout replacement keyboard

This EVESKY keyboard is a new OEM unit built for ThinkPad P50s, T550, T560, W541 and W550s laptops. It matches the original FRU specifications and restores the factory typing feel. The black, non-backlit design uses a standard US QWERTY layout with English legends. It includes the integrated TrackPoint module for pointer control.

PS/2 interface limits key-rollover

The adapter connects through the legacy PS/2 keyboard port, which restricts simultaneous key presses to two-key rollover in most implementations. Hot-plugging is not supported; the laptop must be powered off before installation. No USB or wireless protocols are present, so modern operating-system features that rely on HID over USB are unavailable.

Fits the listed models.

This unit comfortably handles daily typing and TrackPoint navigation on the compatible ThinkPad series. It runs out when a backlit keyboard is required, when a different regional layout is needed, or when the laptop model falls outside the P50s, T550, T560, W541 and W550s range. Buyers needing illumination or alternative language legends must source a different FRU.

Questions about this item

Which ThinkPad models does this US-layout keyboard fit?

It fits the P50s, T550, T560, W541 and W550s models listed in the compatibility data.

How does the non-backlit design affect daily typing?

Keys remain fully functional in normal light; you simply lose the option to illuminate them in dark rooms.

What connector standard does the keyboard use and what does it limit?

It connects via the laptop’s internal ribbon cable, so it works only as a direct replacement for the original keyboard.
