Passive video audio power balun kit

This kit contains eight pairs of passive baluns that transmit video, audio and DC power over UTP cable. Each unit uses gold-plated BNC connectors and an ABS plastic housing for reliable contact. The transceivers support AHD, TVI, CVI and analog CVBS formats up to 8MP resolution. Installers can run a single Cat5e or Cat6 cable to carry all three signals between camera and recorder.

Suits multi-camera UTP runs not for IP networks

The baluns suit installers upgrading analog or HD-over-coax systems to structured cabling without active gear. They cover distances up to 200 m for 8MP signals and 300 m for standard definition. Buyers who need IP camera integration or PoE power delivery should choose a different product class. The passive design also means no external power supply is required at the camera end.

Transmission distance by resolution

Maximum reach depends on the video format: 8MP to 1080p AHD, TVI or CVI signals travel 200 m (656 ft); 960p and 720p signals reach 250 m (820 ft); analog CVBS and 960H extend to 300 m (1,000 ft). Selecting the correct cable category and resolution ensures the link stays within these limits.
