The Estry MS-5700 is a 2.4V 2000mAh nickel-metal hydride pack built to match the original specifications for Remington shaver models MS-5700, R-5130, MS-900, R-4130, MS-5100, MS2-280 and R-9370. It delivers 4.8Wh of capacity and weighs 92.5g with dimensions of 48.73 x 28.68 x 14.31mm. The pack includes overcharge, over-discharge, over-voltage and short-circuit protection circuits. It is not for users whose shaver requires a different voltage or connector layout.

Steady discharge and safety

In normal daily shaving the cell maintains a flat 2.4V output without noticeable voltage sag, so motor speed stays consistent from start to finish. The integrated protection board prevents excessive current draw and limits temperature rise during typical five-to-ten-minute sessions. Self-discharge is low for Ni-MH chemistry, leaving the pack ready for use after weeks in storage. No active cooling or fan is involved, so operation is silent.

Sustained load behaviour

Under continuous high-torque demand — such as thick beard cutting — the protection circuitry will interrupt output if temperature or current exceeds safe thresholds, then automatically restore power once conditions normalise. The 2000mAh rating supports multiple full shaves before recharge is needed. The battery is certified to ISO9001, RoHS, CE, UN38.3 and MSDS standards. It is not suited for devices that draw significantly higher peak currents than the original Remington motor.
