SDI-to-HDMI conversion for broadcast workflows

The ESTONE SDI2HDMI converts SD-SDI, HD-SDI and 3G-SDI signals to HDMI while providing an SDI loop-out for simultaneous monitoring. It accepts 480i, 576i, 720p and 1080i/p formats at 24, 25, 30, 50 and 60 Hz with auto detection. Embedded audio up to eight channels at 48 kHz is passed through the HDMI output. Power is supplied via USB at 5 V and 1 A.

Fits between an SDI source and an HDMI display

Connect a single BNC input from cameras, switchers or routers and feed both an HDMI monitor and a downstream SDI device through the loop-out. The unit handles cable runs up to 300 ft for 3G-SDI, 500 ft for HD-SDI and 1000 ft for SD-SDI. No software drivers are required; the converter operates as a pure hardware bridge. It does not accept RF, CVBS, AHD, TVI or CVI signals.

Replaces separate distribution amplifiers

Instead of chaining a distribution amp and a scaler, this device performs format conversion and signal duplication in one compact enclosure. The jump is worthwhile when you need to view SDI sources on consumer displays while preserving the original SDI path for recording or further routing. It does not support UHD 4K or HDMI-to-SDI conversion.
