Two-computer USB 2.0 switch

This ESTONE KVM switch lets two computers share four USB 2.0 peripherals with a single button press. It targets home users and small offices that want to avoid cable swapping or network configuration for printers, scanners, keyboards, mice and storage devices. The unit is bus powered and requires no driver installation on supported operating systems. A micro-USB port accepts an optional 5 V adapter for demanding peripherals.

Fits between two hosts and four devices

Connect each computer to the upstream ports using the two included USB A-to-A cables, then attach up to four peripherals to the downstream ports. The switch draws power from the USB bus, so no external supply is needed for typical keyboards, mice or flash drives. An optional 5 V adapter can be added through the micro-USB port when a connected hard drive or SSD needs more current. One-button switching with LED indication shows the active computer instantly.

Handles four USB 2.0 peripherals simultaneously

The switch shares four USB 2.0 ports between the two connected systems, supporting devices such as printers, scanners, card readers and external drives. Bandwidth is limited to the USB 2.0 specification, so high-throughput storage will not reach its maximum speed. The optional power input extends compatibility to power-hungry drives, but the unit cannot serve more than two computers or more than four devices at once.
