The Ergodyne 3180 Tool Tethering Kit provides a complete solution for securing hand tools at height. It combines a coiled lanyard, self-adhering tape, and six web tool tails in one package. The kit suits workers who need to prevent dropped objects on job sites. It is not intended for loads heavier than the stated limit or for permanent structural anchoring.

2 lb Working Load and Six Tool Capacity

Each Web Tool Tail handles tools weighing up to 2 lb (0.9 kg), allowing six tools to be tethered simultaneously. The 51" coiled lanyard extends reach while retracting to reduce snag hazards. The 12-foot roll of self-adhering tape creates attachment points without heat tools. The system reaches its limit when tool weight exceeds the per-tail rating or when more than six tools require securing.

Coiled Lanyard and Tape Trap Interface

The 3130S Coil Lanyard uses a 4.5" (11.5 cm) Web Tool Tail connection point designed for the included 3700 series tails. The 3755 Self-Adhering Tape Trap bonds to itself without adhesives or heat, but it cannot join dissimilar materials that reject self-fusion. The coiled design prevents line sag, yet it does not replace a shock-absorbing lanyard for fall arrest applications.
