Metal housing with booster circuit
A black metal enclosure protects the internal booster that extends the video signal up to 100 feet over standard VGA cables. One 15-pin female input accepts a computer, media player or console, while four 15-pin female outputs connect projectors, monitors or televisions. Daisy-chaining up to three additional splitters is supported for larger installations.
Analogue bandwidth limits resolution and distance
The 250 MHz bandwidth caps the maximum supported resolution at 1920 x 1440 at 60 Hz. DDC, DDC2 and DDC2B communication works only on the first output port, so EDID information from other displays is not relayed to the source. Signal quality beyond 100 feet or at higher pixel clocks is not guaranteed by the analogue interface.
