The Eaton 103005894 is a liquid leak sensor designed for Powerware rack monitor installations. It provides early warning of water intrusion inside server cabinets and network racks. The accessory connects directly to compatible monitoring units to trigger alerts when moisture is detected. Passive Detection Operation

The sensor operates without an independent power supply, drawing minimal current from the monitoring port to which it is connected. It produces no audible noise and generates no measurable heat during normal standby or alarm states. Installation adds negligible load to the rack monitor's power budget. The device remains electrically passive until liquid bridges its sensing contacts.

Sustained Exposure Behaviour

Once liquid contacts the sensing element the unit maintains a continuous alarm signal for the duration of the wet condition. The sensor does not self-reset; the alert persists until the moisture is physically removed and the contacts dry. This behaviour ensures that transient leaks are not silently cleared during intermittent dripping.
