Replacement for Acer Aspire and eMachines

The Dr. Battery MPL07217P-16 is a new 6-cell lithium-ion pack built for Acer Aspire models such as 4732, 5241, 5332, 5334, 5516, 5517, 5532, 5541, 5732Z, 5734Z, 7315 and 7715Z. It also fits eMachines D520, D525, D725, E430, E525, E527, E625, E627, E630, E725, G430, G627 and G725 notebooks. The pack delivers 11.1V and 4400mAh capacity. It is not for owners of laptops outside this compatibility list.

Build quality and daily use

Dr. Battery has manufactured replacement cells since 2006 and applies quality control to meet OEM specification levels. The black housing contains six lithium-ion cells rated at 49Wh. A built-in smart control chip manages quicker charging, lower power consumption and longer discharge time while providing short-circuit, overheat and overload protections. The battery mounts directly into the original bay using the existing latch mechanism. It does not suit users who need a higher-capacity 9-cell alternative.

Upgrade from worn originals

This unit replaces depleted or failed original batteries carrying part numbers such as AK.006BT.025, AS09A31, AS09A36, JAT10, L09M6Y21, L09S6Y21, MS2274, Z01 and Z03. The jump is worthwhile when the original pack no longer holds a useful charge or triggers shutdown under load. The 6-cell layout restores factory runtime without altering the laptop profile. Buyers who require extended runtime beyond the original specification should look elsewhere.
