32-Port Serial Console Server

The Digi CM 32 provides in-band and out-of-band console management for network equipment with serial console ports. Administrators can securely monitor and control servers, routers, switches, PBXs, and firewalls from anywhere on the corporate TCP/IP network, over the Internet, or through dial-up modem connections. The integrated web user interface enables remote access without requiring additional client software. It is built for network operations centres and distributed enterprise environments needing centralised serial device control.

32 RJ-45 Serial Ports and 64 MB SDRAM

Thirty-two RS-232 RJ-45 ports connect directly to console ports on target devices, while a single Ethernet 10Base-T/100Base-TX RJ-45 interface links the unit to the management network. A dedicated management console RJ-45 port offers local configuration access. The 64 MB SDRAM supports the operating system and session buffering for concurrent connections. One expansion slot is available for future capability additions, though the base configuration handles up to 32 simultaneous serial sessions.

Rack-Mountable Form Factor with Universal AC Input

The 1U rack-mountable chassis fits standard equipment racks for data centre deployment. An internal auto-ranging power supply accepts 110 to 220 V AC, eliminating the need for external adapters or voltage selection. Compatibility spans Sun, Cisco, IBM, HP, UNIX, Linux, and Microsoft Windows Server 2003 environments, allowing the console server to manage heterogeneous device fleets without protocol translation hardware. No bundled cables or configuration media are included in the base package.
