DELL
1U rack server with a 2.4 GHz Xeon E5-2620 V3, 48 GB DDR4, two 1 TB SATA drives and an H330 RAID controller
HDD 2 x 1TB
The Dell PowerEdge R630 fits a single Intel Xeon E5-2620 V3 six-core processor at 2.4 GHz with 48 GB of DDR4 memory. It ships with two 1 TB 7.2K SATA drives on a PERC H330 controller supporting RAID 0/1/5/10/50/60. Dual 750 W hot-swap supplies and iDRAC8 remote management come standard in a 1U chassis.
Confirm your rack can accommodate a depth of 26.8 inches and that 1U height is available. The installed daughter card provides four 1 GbE ports; optional 10 GbE NDC modules require a compatible switch. Only a single CPU is fitted, so the second socket and its twelve DIMM slots remain empty for future expansion.
Up to three PCIe 3.0 slots plus a dedicated PERC slot are available for additional controllers or NICs. The eight 2.5-inch hot-plug bays currently hold two drives, leaving six bays open for SAS or SATA media up to 14 TB each. Memory can scale to 1536 GB across twenty-four slots when the second processor is added.

Other versions of this model
Same family, different memory, cooler or clock — compare before you commit.
The unit includes two 750 W redundant power supplies, a PERC H330 RAID controller, two 1 TB 2.5-inch SATA drives and a four-port 1 GbE daughter card. Rails, additional cables and an OS are not included.
The chassis supports up to two CPUs. A second E5-2620 V3 doubles cores to twelve physical and twenty-four threads and unlocks the remaining twelve DIMM slots for memory expansion beyond 48 GB.
48 GB is the installed capacity running at up to 2400 MT/s. It fills half the twenty-four slots, leaving room to scale to 1536 GB if a second processor is added.
