Dell HF36W Expansion Module

The Dell HF36W is a barcode scanner and magnetic stripe reader expansion module built for the Latitude 12 Rugged Tablet. It adds the ability to read 1D or 2D barcodes and magnetic stripe cards. The module attaches securely to the back of the tablet when needed and removes easily when not. It is designed for mobile workers who require integrated data capture in the field.

Rugged Certification Limits

The module maintains the tablet's MIL-STD-810G and IP-65 certifications while attached. This means the combined unit withstands the same environmental testing standards for shock, vibration, dust and water ingress. The rugged rating applies only while the module is properly secured to the tablet. Buyers who need a higher IP rating or a different military standard cannot meet that need with this accessory.

Latitude 12 Rugged Compatibility

This expansion module is engineered specifically for the Latitude 12 Rugged Tablet. It connects using the tablet's dedicated expansion interface on the rear chassis. The physical latch and electrical connector will not fit other Dell tablets or non-Dell devices. Builders who need a scanner for a different tablet model or a standalone USB scanner cannot use this part.
