A 1.8 m Micro USB to USB A cable compatible with 2006-2011 iMac models A1311, A1312, A1316, A1417, A1224 and A1225
This 1.8 metre cable connects a Micro USB device to a standard USB A port. It is intended for users who need a replacement link for older peripherals or legacy iMac models listed in the compatibility data. The product is supplied new and has been tested before shipment. It does not suit newer thin iMacs from 2012 onwards or any Mac laptop.
The cable fits iMac models A1311, A1312, A1316, A1417, A1224 and A1225 produced between 2006 and 2011. It will not work with models A1418 or A1419 released in 2012 or later. Buyers who need a power lead for those newer all-in-one computers or for any MacBook cannot use this cable. No other computer compatibility is claimed.
Connection is a simple push-fit of the Micro USB and USB A plugs into the matching ports. No software or configuration is needed. The most common issue is ordering the wrong lead for a post-2011 iMac or a laptop, which the plug will not physically fit. Checking the model number on the back of the iMac before purchase avoids this problem.

The cable fits the 2006‑2011 all‑in‑one iMacs with model numbers A1311, A1312, A1224, A1225, A1316 and A1417. It does not fit the thinner 2012‑onward models A1418 or A1419, nor any Mac laptop.
It gives roughly 1.8 metres of reach from the wall socket to the iMac’s power port, allowing flexible placement on a desk or floor without strain.
The cable uses a Micro USB to USB A connection with an EU standard plug, so it is limited to the power delivery and data rates of that legacy USB interface.
