Industrial splicing tape

This double coated red polypropylene tape is designed for industrial splicing tasks where the bright colour marks splice points for quick removal. The case contains 72 rolls each measuring 1/2 inch wide by 60 yards long. It suits packaging lines and maintenance crews who need visible, high tack bonds. The rubber adhesive delivers 130 oz/in adhesion across a 0 to 120 Fahrenheit range.

Rubber adhesive performance

The rubber adhesive provides immediate high tack without the curing time of acrylic systems. At 5 mil thickness the tape conforms to irregular surfaces while maintaining 28 lbs/in tensile strength. Elongation of 55 percent allows the film to stretch around corners before breaking. The red carrier remains visible after application so operators can locate splices during inspection.

Standard dispenser installation

Each roll fits standard half inch core dispensers so no special tools are required for set up. The adhesive bonds instantly on contact which reduces rework but leaves little margin for repositioning. Dust or oil on the substrate will lower the 130 oz/in adhesion figure so surfaces should be wiped clean first. Cold conditions near 0 Fahrenheit can stiffen the film and slow initial wet out.
