USB Weather Data Logger

The Davis Instruments WeatherLink USB Data Logger connects a compatible Vantage Vue, Vantage Pro2 console or Weather Envoy to a Windows computer. It captures live weather readings and stores them for later analysis. The logger is aimed at hobbyists, educators and professionals who need a direct wired link between their Davis station and a PC for logging, charting or sharing data.

USB Power and Silent Operation

The device draws its power from the host USB port and has no moving parts. No fan or active cooling is required, so it runs completely silent. Power consumption is limited to the standard USB allowance, leaving the host system’s thermal and acoustic profile unchanged during normal logging sessions.

Continuous Logging Under Load

During sustained recording the logger maintains a steady stream of packets to the WeatherLink software without buffering gaps. The USB interface handles the continuous data flow while the host PC manages storage and display. No thermal throttling or data loss occurs because the logger has no onboard processor that can overheat.
