SIP call button for desk mounting

The CyberData 011049 is a Power over Ethernet device that mounts under a desk or in a discrete location. It connects to a SIP-compatible VoIP system using the RFC 3261 protocol over a 10/100 Mbps Ethernet interface. When the single button is pressed, the unit automatically dials a pre-set phone or extension number. It is suited for security, reception or assistance points that need a simple alert trigger.

Stored message and relay output

An administrator uploads a custom audio file of up to 80 seconds through the web-based setup interface. The button plays and continuously repeats this message once the call is answered. Supported payload types include G711 A-Law and u-Law. A dry relay contact provides auxiliary control for external devices, while a door closure and tamper sensor adds physical security monitoring. Call progress is indicated by a dedicated status light.

PoE installation and security setup

The unit draws power from a PoE 802.3af switch or an external +5V at 1A supply, removing the need for a local power socket. Configuration is handled through a network web management portal that also supports firmware downloads. The device operates from -10°C to 50°C and supports TLS 1.2 with SRST compatibility for Cisco environments. Installers must ensure the network infrastructure supplies PoE and that the SIP server accepts the button as a standard endpoint.
