Computer Memory Solutions
A 16 GB dual-channel kit of 1.35 V DDR3L 1600 SODIMM modules built for the 27-inch 2015 iMac Retina 5K
This 16 GB kit contains two 8 GB DDR3L 1600 SODIMM modules built for the Apple iMac Retina 5K 27-inch Mid-2015 model MF886LL/A. The unbuffered non-ECC sticks run at 1.35 V with CL11 timing. Computer Memory Solutions manufactures the modules to guarantee compatibility with the specified system.
The 204-pin SO-DIMM form factor fits the four memory slots in the 2015 Retina 5K iMac. Buyers needing ECC registered memory cannot use this kit. Systems requiring a different DDR generation or a different pin count are not compatible.
The modules operate at DDR3L 1600 (PC3L 12800) with 11-11-11 latency at 1.35 volts. This exact speed, voltage and timing combination is what the Mid-2015 27-inch iMac expects. Any deviation in those three values means the memory will not work correctly.

Power off and unplug the iMac, lay it face-down on a soft cloth, remove the memory-access door, then insert each 204-pin module into a slot until the ejector clips click; the common error is pressing only one end so the stick sits crooked and the Mac fails to boot.
No routine maintenance is required; the unbuffered non-ECC DDR3L modules have no moving parts or batteries, so they either keep working or are replaced only if a stick fails or you later upgrade to the 32 GB maximum supported by the four slots.
The memory controller caps bandwidth at DDR3L 1600 speeds, so throughput tops out at the PC3L-12800 rating long before the 11-11-11 latency or 1.35 V voltage become bottlenecks.
