Its 4-element symmetrical optical design and multi-layer coatings on every lens surface maximise light transmission and contrast. Blackened lens edges reduce internal reflections for clearer views of stars, planets and nebulae. A two-step anodising process prevents glare from the barrel top.

Upgrade from narrower or lower-quality oculars

Replacing a basic Kellner or a cheaper Plossl with this model adds a 44-degree apparent field of view and better edge correction. The jump is worth it when you want wider, higher-contrast fields for deep-sky sweeps or lunar detail without moving to a more expensive wide-angle design. Observers using eyepieces with noticeable internal reflections or softer edges will see an immediate improvement.

32mm focal length gives low-power, wide-field views

At 32mm this eyepiece delivers the lowest magnification and widest true field in a 1.25-inch barrel, ideal for large star clusters, the Milky Way and finding objects.
