The Celestron Luminos eyepiece provides a 19 mm focal length and an 82 degree apparent field of view. It suits owners of short, fast refractors or Celestron EdgeHD telescopes who want expansive, immersive views. The six-to-seven-element optical set is fully multi-coated for crisp, sharp images across the field. All models in the series are parfocal, so swapping eyepieces during a session requires little or no refocusing.

Thermal stability and handling

The polished, anodized aluminium body conducts heat evenly, reducing the risk of internal dewing during temperature shifts. No active cooling or power draw is involved, so operation is completely silent. The rubber grip encircling the barrel stays comfortable in cold conditions and gives secure purchase when inserting or removing the eyepiece. A simple twist of the grip raises or lowers the retractable eyecup for quick eye-relief adjustment.

Build quality and filter compatibility

The anodised aluminium barrel resists corrosion and wear from repeated use in damp night air. Its insert barrel is threaded to accept standard astronomy filters, allowing colour or nebula filters to be added without extra adapters.
